WP Bakery Page builder is a page builder plugin for WordPress that allows you to build layouts without touching any code.
Note: It is recommended that you use the Cornerstone plugin for building the pages in the X theme, and the Pro theme has the Content Builder already as the part of the theme to use for building the pages. The WP Bakery Page Builder is available as a bundled plugin if you need it for any reason.
Go to Pro > Validation, or X > Validation, then look for WP Bakery Page Builder. Click Install.
Once installed, the Install button will change and say Activate. Click that button, and it will activate the plugin. You will then see the status change to Installed and Activated.
How to Use WP Bakery Page Builder in X or Pro
The X and Pro themes provide a curated WP Bakery Page Builder experience or you can use the native plugin. When Legacy X Integration is enabled, our original curated integration code from the early days of X will be loaded. We don't recommend this for new sites but include it for backwards compatibility. This setting will remove the native WP Bakery elements and replace them with Elements powered by our shortcodes. You can manage your preferred settings at the following location: WordPress Dashboard > WP Bakery Page Builder > General Settings.
One thing worth noting is that the frontend editor works with the WP Bakery Page Builder native elements. The front end editor is tailored to WP Bakery Page Builder, and as such we are unable to provide in-depth support for it.
We tried to give the information needed about the WP Bakery Page Builder plugin in respect of the usage in the X and Pro themes. To delve into details of the plugin usage read the official documentation here.
We introduced the WP Bakery Page Builder plugin as an alternative page builder available in case that you do not want to use the recommended Cornerstone (X) or Content Builder (Pro). We also provided the information in regards to the integration considerations of the plugin into both X and Pro. Finally, we gave the official documentation link for further reading.
