Officially launched in December of 2013, our first full calendar year with X was in 2014, and boy what a ride it's been. Join us on a quick trip down memory lane to see some of the exciting highlights of the past year plus a sneak peak of what's in store for 2015.
Tens of Thousands of Customers
We wouldn't be around without our incredible customers, so a big thank you to YOU for joining us on this journey. We were honored to be recognized as the fastest selling theme of all time at ThemeForest in addition to making new friends from customers across the globe. With X powering sites ranging from the government to celebrities, we have been thrilled to get to know the amazing community of web designers, enthusiasts, and even complete beginners who have turned to X as their theme of choice. We even recently launched our customer showcase to keep up with the amazing new X-powered sites hitting the internet daily! You can also meet a few of them and learn more about them and their businesses through our customer spotlight series.
Answered Over 20,000 Questions
We are a people company. We love technology and creating products and services, however we love people even more. Our incredible development team has answered over 20,000 forum posts in 2014 and done an incredible job serving our customers. They are the heart and soul of everything we do, and it is a privilege to work with such a talented group of folks from across the globe.
First Xtreme Makeover
In line with our desire to be a people first company, we took on a project very near and dear to our hearts this year: our first annual Xtreme Makeover—a free site makeover to a deserving individual, company, or non-profit. The inaugural recipient was Build Change, a non-profit with a mission to “Save lives in earthquakes and hurricanes by working with people in emerging nations to design and build safe houses and schools.” We were thrilled to work with the entire team at Build Change in updating their site to a modern platform, ready for the future, and powered by X. We look forward to continuing this tradition in 2015 with another deserving candidate!
Released 25 Theme Updates
Averaging a little over 2 releases per month, our development team was hard at work with maintenance items and feature development. With over 168,364 lines of code written and refined in 2014, some of the development highlights of the year were the release of our 4th Stack Ethos as well as over a dozen Extensions—premium WordPress plugins made by our team to work seamlessly with X. These amazing tools are included for free with each verified purchase of X. You can check out this video for a brief intro.
Partnered With Kiva
To celebrate our Power Elite milestone over at Envato, we donated $10,000 to the microfinance non-profit Kiva (but there's a twist). YOU get to pick a deserving entrepreneur from around the globe to give a $25 loan to, and it's on us. This will be an ongoing initiative, and there are still funds available as of this writing. Check out our official Kiva page for more information, and even make a loan instantly…like right now! You do not have to be a customer of ours to participate, and we would love to have you join us in this most worthy of causes.

We have one mission: to have the absolute best WordPress theme on the market. Ever. Through a commitment to development best practices, well thought out user experiences, a high degree of functionality, and support that is second to none—2014 allowed us to lay an incredible foundation for all that is to come next. As we have already mapped out many of our goals and targets for 2015, we can say without a doubt that if you liked what we did in 2014, you are going to LOVE what is coming in 2015.
Our team is already hard at work on several new enhancements that will further establish X as the preeminent theme on the market, not just for 2015—but beyond.
