Cornerstone 7.7.0, Pro 6.7.0, and X 10.7.0 Beta (2)

Time to bust out the sunscreen and boot up those testing sites because Cornerstone enters it’s next beta. This is a fun one in multiple areas. As always, thanks for being valued users of Themeco. It’s you who truly makes our products great and these features wouldn’t have come to fruition without your input.

See how to test the beta here.

Pressed on time? Check out the beta playground to test the new features on our sandbox site.

CSAI

The most powerful builder can now be superpowered by AI. CSAI is our latest Max product. It currently offers various generation actions like copy, images, speech audio, and even videos. With CSAI, you can connect to a variety of different providers like OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Hugging Face, and even through an AI you are running off your computer. The best part, this is just the start! In the following months we plan on training our own AI model on various parts of Cornerstone allowing you to generate layouts and advanced components all within Cornerstone.

If you were apart of the CSAI closed beta, CSAI is now a plugin. When you have the Cornerstone Beta plugin activated and you have Max or CSAI it will show up in the Max section.

When one color just isn’t enough

Stuck choosing between two colors? Why not use both! Cornerstone’s Gradient feature allows you to create and use gradients unseen in the WordPress world. In Cornerstone, Gradients can be used just as any other color. They can even be saved as a global color. Use gradients in backgrounds, borders, text, parameters, and global colors.

Outline Split Mode

A new preference to Cornerstone is the Outline “Split” mode. When this mode is selected you will always see the Outline on the opposite side of the “Workspace” setting. Popular in many other editors outside of the web world, this view can be helpful editing complex Documents inside Cornerstone.

Global Settings Refreshed

Our Global Settings has been revamped. It even includes new features like Built with Cornerstone, changing the default workspace position, and best of all it’s all extendable!

Miscellaneous

  • Advanced Background controls can have different breakpoint values
  • Certain toggle fields can enter breakout mode, plus a parameter control for toggles
  • Aspect ratio control in various elements
  • Document tab refresh button
  • Theme Option to control the theme-color meta tag

I’ll paste the full changelog below. I look forward to hearing your feedback. Have a great day.

Ahhhmazing. Since CSAI isn’t available for purchase yet, is there any other way to try it out during the beta testing period other than subscribing to Max?

Yeah and shouldn’t the base AI framework be included for free? You have to connect 3rd party models for which you have to pay anyway. I totally get that Themeco’s own model that will come later are put behind the Max paywall though.

We do have a checkout link here for CSAI.

The current version allows you to connect directly to a model you host, bypassing paying entirely. It’s a bit of work, but it’s a lot of fun to have unlimited control with Image models. We’re open to feedback on CSAI, for the most part we are just trying to release a solid base for the product to grow into the future.

Awesome! Before I pull the trigger on that, is that a lifetime license, unlimited sites? Any details you can share? Feel free to email me directly if you’d prefer.

It’s a one time, lifetime, unlimited sites purchase through that checkout link. Much like the Cornerstone Charts or other max standalone purchases. We are slated to release Cornerstone Forms later this year if that entices you to get a full Max subscription.

Just for clarification, will API keys for the chosen AI platform always be required for Max subscribers, or once Themeco have trained their models, will it become in integral part of CSAI under Max with no API required by the Max subscriber?

API keys for the various providers are required for our initial release as we setup our Themeco AI. I can’t say for certain, but we are trying to go for a near unlimited approach when we release that. Anthropic and HuggingFace are pretty generous with credits on their free tiers if you want to try it out too.

Is there any description of the license terms on the website? If I buy CSAI with your checkout-link, can I use it for all my current and future cornerstone (pro unlimited license) projects?

Charlie,
i use Gemini Pro all the time, is this implemented aswell?
Thanks

Great improvements. I like the refresh button, was waiting for this so long. Very useful when changing posts in another window etc.
I guess the aspect-ration settings could also be interesting - is there any documentation yet? I tried several values in a div, but could not find out how it works and what input is expected.

I tried 16:9, and it works. Perhaps make sure there is something inside of the Div first.

I have my custom Div elements with this function built in. Time to rewrite everything again.

@deranaloge We can certainely take a look at implementing Gemini, they do have an API from what I could tell. https://theme.co/docs/csai-overview The sidebar here will display all our currently supported AI providers.

@ULinn I can take a look at adding docs for the aspect ratio control. This page can you help you out in the meantime https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/aspect-ratio

Great Charlie, that really helps - ratios added as 16 / 9 rather than 16:9 or 1 / 1 rather than 1:1 and images set to cover (if a div background). The ratios now work for me!

Would it be possible to provide a beta version of the CSAI plugin for us to use during beta testing?

When you have the beta plugin activated. You should be able to install it in the Max extension panel. Do you have any issues here?
