Personify Headline Component: Add Slider

When I look at the #scaffolding Component which is referenced on the Home page -> Headline section, I see a bunch of {} style code making calls to various “exp” things. I would like to edit a site Headline to include a slider.

First of all, in the sliders pack with Max, I don’t see a simple/basic slider to add to library that would be suitable for a simple background image of Headline which rotates. What should I use?

Second, is there anything that needs to be done to customize this to fit all the other Headline code?

1.) The {} in the style code could be the dynamic content shortcode for global settings/colors/fonts which also came from the Parameters of the Component. Kindly check out this documentation first:

2.) The Modern Sliders with Max are advanced slider. Use the prefab Slider (Inline) or Slider (Stacked) element to get started with a simple one.

3.) I am not sure for the Headline code that you want to customize. Is it the font size? You might be interested i checking out this video tutorial instead:

  1. I’m using a personify theme. I want a slider that is full-width in the Headline component which auto changes background image every ‘x’ seconds.

  2. If the {Exp…} code is related to colors/fonts, then perhaps I don’t need any of that in the actual slider. Not sure. The answer didn’t really clarify that. I would expect you all to know what the code is that shows up in a Personify component. (shrug)

  3. You’re telling me that NO “modern sliders” exist which are a simple “full background with with auto-change of image”?

  4. The “Headline” I reference is the Section on the page that is entitled Headline. I’m using your terms, as I am assuming you’re familiar with the Personify themes, layouts, and structures.

  5. I waited a day with no response. How else will I know how long to wait before someone from paid support responds?

Hello Lane,

1.) Which Personify demo site are you using? All four demos have a Main Headline Section or a section with a full-width image. You will have to replace this section with a Fullwidth Slider. You can actually start with the Slider (Stacked) element. You can edit it, add your images in each slide, and design it as your own.

2.) If you are starting with the Slider (Stacked) element, you may not need those codes.

3.) I am not sure how you are going to set up the auto-changing image. There are full-width sliders in the Modern Slider templates that you can check it here: https://theme.co/modern-sliders/

4.) You may be referencing the Main Headline Section that contains the site title or headline.
