Issue in pro theme

I’m currently facing an issue with the X Theme. I needed to create a custom header, but found that the X Theme does not provide an option within the theme settings to modify or create a new header.

As per your documentation (screenshot) and forum discussions (screenshot), it was suggested to upgrade to the Pro Theme for this functionality. However, after activating the Pro Theme, the design of my site was significantly distorted and did not match the layout or styling I had with the X Theme.

I need a solution for this issue.

Here is the details

Hello @CTC13,

Thank you for the info.

The site seems to be displaying correctly on our end. Could you provide a screenshot of the layout issues or differences you’re seeing, or share a link to the old site so we can compare?

We tried checking the site https://centerfortransformation.com, but it’s not loading properly. Is this the URL of the old site?

Best regards,

Please check those pages.

Thank you for the info. Are you referring to the “Follow Us” widget at the bottom of the pages? You can edit the Text widget in the Appearance > Widgets > Footer 1 panel. It seems to be empty or a little broken when we checked.

This is the content of the Follow Us widget:

<ul class="folowus">
 	<li></li>
 	<li></li>
 	<li><a class="instagram" title="instagram" href="https://www.instagram.com/transformationalcoachingcenter/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">
<i class="x-icon x-icon-instagram" data-x-icon-b=""></i></a></li>
</ul>

You may need to adjust the html inside the code editor.

Please check this page. not only widget

Thank you for the update.

Since we don’t have a reference for what is displaying correctly or what is broken, would you mind providing screenshots to help us better understand the issue?

Have you tried editing those pages to see if you can fix them manually? Importing or upgrading to a different theme can often introduce style changes or minor content issues even if it’s from X to Pro, so a manual fix may sometimes be necessary.

If you can provide screenshots or a link to the previous site for comparison, that would be very helpful. When we checked one of the pages, we found a script error that seems to be related to the cache plugin. Disabling the plugin and any custom modifications should help resolve the issue.

You can provide the site info in the secure note. Thank you for your patience.

We are requesting a refund for the theme purchase as we have not received any resolution for the issue we reported, even after 5 days. Despite our efforts to communicate and seek support, no effective solution has been provided.

We kindly ask you to process the refund at your earliest convenience.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sorry for the troubles. Regarding the course calendar, on the dev site it was previously set to use Cornerstone, which is not valid in this case. To display events at the course-calendar path, it has to be set in the
Events > Settings > Viewing > Events URL slug. You can now check the updated link here:

As for the posts, on the live site, the setting under Theme Options > Layout and Design is set to 1290px, while it was only 1140px on the dev site. We adjusted this accordingly. We are not yet sure why the featured image is not displaying as full width in the post pages.

We may need access to the live site as well so we can compare its settings with the dev environment.

We cannot provide the live site because many things change on it daily, and our development work is also being done there now, so it’s not possible to share it. You’re taking a lot of time to resolve this issue. If you’re able to fix it, please go ahead and do so. Otherwise, please issue a refund. This is a clone of the live site.

We believe the issue is not with the theme but with something improperly set up on the dev site. In order for us to investigate further, we will need access to the live site. Please bear with us.

We have already identified and fixed the issue with the course calendar, but for the other layout issues, we need access to compare the settings and modifications. This is a common practice when troubleshooting issues like this.

Thank you for your patience.

The same issue occurred on the live site as well.
Therefore, we set it up on the development site and checked — the issue persists there too.
Both the dev and live environments are showing the same behavior.

Hey Jonathan,

I have checked your live site and I found out that you were using the X Child theme because you have several modifications and enhancements to the site.

Since you upgraded to the Pro theme, you will have to log in to your FTP and rename your X Child theme and make it as a Pro Child theme. It should work and would have no issues.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

We have been facing these issues for a long time. Now after activating the pro child theme, there are problems with the container and font size. We’ve already progressed a lot of work on the live site. So we don’t want to continue using the pro theme anymore. If we continue with the pro theme, we’ll need to rework many things, which isn’t possible for us. Therefore, please refund the theme, as we no longer wish to use the pro theme.

Hi Jonathan,

We are sorry to hear that you are facing such problems, and don’t want to continue with it. As we can understand your problem, currently you are facing some issues with the container and the font sizes. If you can explain it a bit more, we can try to help you out with that. If you still do not want to continue with it, you can cancel the subscription anytime you want by following the steps below.

  1. Log in to your Themeco Account.
  2. Click into the Billing menu in the top right corner.
  3. Click into the Subscription tab.
  4. Click into the Details
  5. Mouse over into the Click Here link.
  6. Then click on the Cancel My Subscription.
  7. Please find the screenshot below explaining the steps.

Thanks

I have canceled the subscription as per your instructions. However, I no longer wish to use the theme because I’ve been facing multiple issues with it. I would now like to return the theme and request a refund. I purchased the theme on 21st July, but by the time I received responses from your team, I had already completed a significant amount of work on the live site. I also contacted you within the 30-day window but still haven’t received a proper solution. Therefore, I kindly request you to accept the theme return and issue a refund.

Hi Jonathan,

Regarding this, I would suggest you send an email to info@theme.co with your request for further processing.

Thanks

I have sent an email to the email address you shared. Kindly refer to the attached screenshot for reference.
