Doug RParticipantHey guys, I’m having the same problem and to be honest, I love Avada and never have these kinds of issues. I don’t really have the time to spend with my hosting provider (never easy) so if you can’t find an easier way to resolve API confirmation I (and I suspect a lot of others) will bail out. I manage A LOT of sites and am curious about X as a new solution, but being told to work with your host to solve a problem that is unique to theme.co is a non-starter.
My $.02 anyway.

KoryKeymasterHi Doug,
We are putting together a Knowledge Base article on the topic that covers some of the potential issues. The vast majority of our customers are able to connect just fine, however for those that experience one of the potential things that can happen with regards to remote updates, this explains how to address them. While it may seem that many people are experiencing the issue, it is because most people who are having trouble tend to chime in on the same thread(s). We are always mindful of ways to make this process as seamless as possible and continually monitor it to make sure we are doing what we can however at the end of the day, hosts can have their own measures in place that sometimes need specific attention. Many times, the connection issues are temporary and can be resolved quickly without contacting the host by following the steps on that article.
If you are having any trouble after following those steps, we’ll be happy to take a look in a separate thread. We want to make everyone’s experience with X as dependable as possible and will do everything within our power towards that end. We look forward to continuing to work with you and your clients.
Cheers!
If anyone else is having connectivity issues, please read through the KB article referenced above first, then if you need anything further feel free to open a thread about your specific question/site after following those steps, and we’ll be happy to take a look!

rainer0651ParticipantI have the same problem and yes turned firewall off etc. I did successfully revoke and add the product key to another domain about a month ago and at first I got the error and then the next day it worked after I asked about it in the forum. So there is nothing wrong with my server. Now I just revoked it again and got new key and tried to validate in the site I actually need it to work in and get the same error. This site is https so not sure if that has something to do with it.

rainer0651ParticipantI successfully revoked and added a license about a month ago on http domains
Now it won’t do it with connectivity error. I would like the license activated on my https site. I have been waiting a couple of days now and want to at least update the theme using it.
Thanks

Sam BParticipantDon’t know when this thread started, but as of 1:18 EDT 8-30-15 it is stull a problem. I just updated to 4.0.7. All previous versions of X have given me no problem with accessing extensions, but I get the “firewall” error now.
I would add
&force-check
If Ihad any idea of where it should be added.

RupokMemberHi @beanthere22/
You need to add it at the end of the url where you are getting this error. See – http://prntscr.com/8anull
Add this and press Enter to reload the page with this suffix.
Thanks

Sam BParticipantDecided to click on extensions one more time today. Worked fine with no added anything. Very strange.
