I’ve tried the suggested fixes and called my host provider to troubleshoot but am still getting an error.

    Any suggestions?

    Hey there,

Could you try again in an hour or so? When X 4.0 was released, we got a large amount of traffic to our servers and have seen some API requests timeout. Because the server was unreachable temporarily, this could result in the same error message. Please let us know if it works again.

Hi, where do I add ” &force-check ” to? The previous post says to the url, but gives little guidance.

    Hi Ddrule,

You can append that to the page url you’re having that issue. For example, the extension page

    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=x-addons-extensions&force-check=1

You can also add &x-verbose=1 to display/log any result/error

    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=x-addons-extensions&force-check=1&x-verbose=1

    Hope this helps.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in!

The WordPress login you have provided is not working at my end. Would you mind confirming again?

In the meantime, can you try revoking your current API key, generating a new one and try validating your website again.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

After reviewing the information provided above, I would try checking with your hosting provider on this particular issue as it sounds like something related to your setup is causing this. Typically, this is due server configuration problems (i.e. underpowered, traceroute issues, packet loss, permissions errors, et cetera). Additionally, your host will be able to diagnose things much better due to the fact that they have a more complete view of your account and can work behind the scenes with you. If the problem you are experiencing persists after working with your host, don’t hesitate to let us know and we will be happy to assist you. Any relevant information that you can share with us from your host is also greatly appreciated as it will help us to better ascertain the source of the problem.

I am the hosting provider and the developer. I have never had this issue before. What would you advice we do?
