X Theme premade layouts not showing up

Hi,

I’ve purchased X theme a while back and pretty much set it aside because I felt it was extremely complicated and time-consuming get it to work so I went w. another theme. Today I’m trying to revamp one of my sites and since this license is just sitting around, I thought of using it but none of the premade layouts seem to show for me, just in case, I created this video with what I see on my end. Maybe I’m as lost as ever and I’m in the wrong place.

Hi Jennyfer,

Thank you for your screencast explaining the issue. Ok, the first issue there is you have an updated version of X 9.0.8, but outdated version of Cornerstone plugin. You can refer for what is the latest versions here. You can simply deactivate and delete the Cornerstone plugin, and X will prompt you to install Cornerstone, please follow that prompt (on top of the admin dashboard) to reinstall the latest version of Cornerstone.

Now after you update Cornerstone, make sure it is validated. Then navigate to Cornerstone > Templates and look for the Design Cloud tab.

Now, on another note; I see that you already converted your license to PRO, so you should now switch to PRO. If you follow this path, you can disregard updating the Cornerstone and just deactivate it, then install the latest version of PRO 5.0.8 and activate it. If this sounds too complex, for now, you can go on with X.

Thank you so much for all the information, When I first download and installed, it didn’t prompt me to install any plugins, so I tried to uninstall and reinstall a few minutes ago but it didn’t prompt me to to install anything else.

Are you recommending that I use the “Pro” theme instead, is it a better/faster theme?

Have you updated the Cornerstone plugin as suggested by my colleague? If not, please update it by following the below steps.

  1. Delete the Cornerstone existing one
  2. After deletion please use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone.

By seeing that you have already converted your license for Pro, my colleague has suggested using the Pro. The Pro has a few additional feature over X, you can find that differences here in this article: https://theme.co/docs/the-difference-between-x-pro
