This license is not validated

I recently purchased a new X Theme license through Envato/ThemeForest and added the purchase code to my Themeco account.

I assigned the license to my Bluehost staging site:

Current environment:

  • WordPress 7.1
  • PHP 8.1.34
  • X Theme updated to current 10.x
  • Cornerstone 7.9.3
  • X Child Theme active

Problem:

  • In WordPress, X shows “This license is not validated.”
  • I paste the Envato purchase code into the validation field and press Enter.
  • The page goes blank.
  • Returning to the dashboard still shows the license as not validated.
  • No PHP fatal error is generated in debug.log during the validation attempt.

I also tested outbound connectivity from Bluehost to Themeco using WordPress wp_remote_get() against:

https://theme.co/

The result was:

SUCCESS
HTTP STATUS: 200

So the server can reach Themeco over HTTPS.
