Second row in header linked to language selection

Hello

regarding https://swedesail.de/ there is the logo “Swedesail” and a claim below “A world of …”. What needs to be done to link the Claim to the language selector to display a german version of the Claim?

I would like to get the same solution for https://sortec-online.de/ and possibly https://braschos.de/

Special coding from your side. Or what would be the solution? What would this likey cost?

Hi Zebra,

Thanks for reaching out.
It is not very clear what exactly you are trying to acheive here. Are you trying to link the A world of … text to the German version even if it is in the English version? If that is the case, you need to divide the logo into two parts, one with the logo and another with the sub-headline, and then link to the sub-headline. If that is not the case and you are trying to achieve something else, please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that helps us recognize the problem.

Thanks

Dear Tristup,

exactly. My question is about a subheadline with content being linked to German/English language selection. A few remarks how to set up that subheadline and linking it to the language selector (in my case Polylang) would be much appreciated.

Hi Zebra,

I have already mentioned that you need to divide the logo into two parts and set the second image i.e. sub-headline link to your desired link.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hello Thistup,

thanks for your reply. It is still unclear to me where to incorporate the sub-headline at Theme Options - Navbar. Best.

Hi Zebra,

I am really sorry for the confusion, it is not possible using the X theme you are using. You need to customize the Header using the Header Builder which is exclusively with Pro not with the X you are using.
I would suggest you upgrade to the Pro theme, please go through the process here: https://theme.co/docs/converting-from-x-to-pro
And also go through the following article on Header Builder.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hello Tristup,

thx for your suggestions.

Pro Theme installed. I feel slained by the multitude of options.

Kindly make an offer for setting up the Header with the advanced Header Builder as a german/english version of the claim below the Swedesail logo and linking it to the given language selector (Polylang). German verion is aready there: https://swedesail.de/

Best, Zebra

Hi Zebra,

As I suggested in my earlier reply that you need to divide your logo into two parts and add these two images into the Header using the Header Builder and then link the sub-headline to the version you want. If you find any difficulties to create the header, I would suggest you go through the article referred to in my previous reply. If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note for further help, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
– Specific header where you have added these two images.

Thank you Tristup,

sent a secure note as suggested.

Hi Zebra,

I have created the header and assigned it to a test page and it shows the sub-headline based on the language. Now the problem is with the Polylang plugin you are using, there is an ongoing conflict issue with the plugin and Header assignment. We have already reported the issue to our development team, but there is no solution till now. As a temporary solution you can follow the below steps, every time you update the header.

  1. Deactivate PolyLang
  2. Delete Header Assignment and modify the update
  3. Add Header assignment back and save
  4. Activate the Polylang

https://swedesail.de/en/test-page/
https://swedesail.de/test-page/

Please remember that I have added the Navigation Dropdown element to show the Humberger menu on smaller screens, and hide it using the Hide During Breakpoint on bigger screens. And same for the Navigation Inline element for the smaller screens.

NOTE: To assign it to entire site, you need to go through this article https://theme.co/docs/header-builder-overview#assigning-your-first-header

Thanks

Thank you Tristup,

I looked at it, made few adjustments, but … Would you do me the favour to launch it? I am afraid to get the next headache …

German: Die Welt der schönen Yachten
English: A world of beautiful yachts

I assume I would change the claim via Polylang, “Translation of character strings” if at all needed later. If the Problem remains, I should change to another, conflict free translation Plugin? Perhaps to can recommend one. No hurry this this issue.

Now, would you do me the favour to launch it?

Hi Zebra,

I have checked and changed the sub-headline text and assign the header to the Entire Site, and activated the Polylang too. Instead of using the Polylang you can use the supported plugin WPML. I would suggest you go through the following article on WPML.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Thank you Tristup, much apprechiated.

I tried to adjust the links in the navbar (Size 17 px, Font 300 Book, 0.125 em letter spacing, base colour rgb 255, 255, 255, interaction 242,219,9). I did not find the buttons to do so in the header builder and finally did it using the old/regular header adjustments. Apparently that f***d it up. So the header now seems to the old one.

Further I did not find out where to adjust the font in second Header (Container 2) to have font size, spacing etc just as it is in the old header version.

Would you kindly do those hopefully final steps for me?

Should the header 2 language change work for the time being by means of Polylang , I would use it for the time being b(without touching it, promised!).

Regarding WPML: would the basic & free version of it achive what is needed or would it have to be the 90 $ version?

I feel it is about time to put something in your Coffee box. How could I do this?

Hi Zebra,

I have changed the Navigation attribute values as you are expecting, I would suggest you go through the following article on Navigation Inline for future changes.

Navigation Inline

I have used two different Bar for two different languages, and you need to modify both in every case. Regarding the Container 2, the Headline element has been used and I would suggest you go through the following article which helps you adjust its attributes of it.

Also, the Polylang will work as it is, except that you made any changes in the Header while it is active. Regarding the WPML, I would suggest you check and compare the feature list of the free and paid version.

Thanks

Hello Tristup,
thank you.
I just sent you a secure note.

Best Zebra

Hi Zebra,

What you are expecting now is required a little complex customization which is beyond the scope of Theme Support. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you to do the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where we answer the questions beyond normal theme support.

Thanks

Hello Tristup,

Braschos.de upgrade Theme X to Pro installed.

Best, Erdmann

Hi Erdmann,

I would suggest you post these customization points as a One ticket.

Thanks

Hello Tristup,

I have this ticket already. This was just meant to give you access via Secure note.

Hi Erdmann,

I would request you add the credential details to your One ticket for future purposes.

Thanks
