How do I update a X Theme?

My site was created by a designer I hired in 2016 ish, and I cannot contact him. How do I update the version of the website?

Thanks for writing in! If you have validated your Pro theme, you should be able to update the theme in Dashboard > Updates. If not, you may need to validate the Pro theme first. For more details about how can you update the product, please check this out:

The account I’m referring to I did not purchase, so I cannot validate it. The account falls under the license of the designer who originally created it. What should I do because I need to update?

Hi Floyd,

Did your old designer remove the product license code? If Yes, I guess you need to purchase another one then if its No, you can automatically update your theme to the latest version.

You will need to purchase a separate license. Since your site’s using X, you need to purchase X license from Themeforest.

After that, you can proceed with Product Validation.
