Ive seen quite a few threads on the form submit spinner bug problem which was due to be solved in the next release. Ive updated and I still have the problem so assume its still not fixed yet. Do we have a date when this will be resolved?
Hello Will,
Thanks for writing in! Please make sure that you are using the latest Contact Form 7 and the latest update release of the theme. The spinner should display when using the latest release. In my local testing server with the style Contact Form 7, I have this:
I have designed my form to display the submit button on the left and the spinner on the right.
Best Regards.
One of my forms is fine, but the other (just a plain CF7 form) isnt spinning. There is no custom code on the failing form. Any ideas how I can debug?
Hi Will,
The mentioned issue with Contact Form 7 has been already fixed in the latest version. If you haven’t updated yet, please update the theme to its latest version. Please let us know if you have already updated the theme and you are still having the same issue, so we will inform our development team for further investigation.
Thanks
Yes its all updated. One form is fine, the other isnt.
Hi Will,
If one form is working fine, there might be something that is the reason behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.
- Theme Related Issue
- Plugin Conflict
- Theme Update related issue
- Child Theme Related issue
- CSS/JS Customization
- Disabling Cache
- Disabling CDN
If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of the above help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

Hey @wbc,
We cannot log in because it seems that the login link is hidden, http://example.com/wp-admin/
. By the way, you are using the contact form shortcode inside a Text element. We highly recommend that you use the Form Integration element or the Raw Content element instead.
Best Regards.
Hi,
Ive updated the URL in the secure note so you should be able to see the login page now. Ive also updated the X to 10.0.3 and moved the code to the raw but it has the same problem.
Hello @wbc,
The password of the authentication form has changed. We can not get pass through it now.
Please double check the given credentials.
Thanks.
Details checked. Please also see notes in the secure note.
Hello Will,
We still cannot get pass the authentication. Please see the video in the secure note.
Thanks.
Hi, Sorry these have been updated and tested. Both are fine from this end. There was a typo on one credential. Please try again now though.
Hi Will,
I have checked both forms and found the issue, which I am able to replicate in my local environment. I will inform this our development team so they will investigate the issue once again and check why this is happening again.
Thanks
Okay - thanks for confirming. Is there a workaround for this? Also, can you remove the pasted staging image above please.
Hi Will,
Unfortunately, we don’t have any temporary workaround right now.
Thanks
Can you remove the pasted image asap please.
Given theres no workaround, can you give me an update when this will be fixed?
Hey Will,
All images on this thread for your website have been removed. You can check our status updates from time to time to check if the issue was already been solved by our developers.
Hope that helps.
This will be fixed in 6.0.4. CF7 changed a class name. Thanks for bringing this up have a great day!
