Eg - insta stream - no support yet?

Hi there,

I saw, that ESSENTIAL GRID recently released a new version:

3.0.3 . I was hoping, that this might end up fixing the long running issue of using the plugin for an Instagram GRID.

However, when I tried updating PRO tells me that it was unable to update. Is the new version not supported yet?
If so, do you have an ETA as to when this will be fixed?

Thanks!

Hi @Pbalazs89,

Thanks for reaching out.

Essential Grid release an instruction on how to set up Instagram to Essential Grid, please check these resources.

https://www.themepunch.com/faq/instagram-stream-setup-instructions-with-access-token/

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Hi Cramaton,

Thanks for the tip, I’ll try it out. Is there an instruction set perhaps for THE GRID as well? I believe it is suffering from the same issue.

Hi @Pbalazs89,

You can find the instruction to set Instagram on The Grid plugin, here in this article: https://theme-one.com/docs/the-grid/#social_media

Thanks

Hi,

Quick question:

The Essential Grid guide is for version 2.3.7. When I’m on my verified sites it will not let me ugrade to that version.
Downloading the theme files shows that the last version supported by Pro is 2.3.6. Is this correct?

Thanks!

Hello @Pbalazs89,

We are currently supporting the 3.0.6 version of “Essential Grid” plugin to learn more about version compatibility please have a look at you our version compatibility article.

I recommend the following troubleshooting procedures before we investigate the settings.

  1. TESTING FOR THEME RELATED ISSUE
  2. TESTING FOR PLUGIN CONFLICT
  3. THEME UPDATE
  4. CHILD THEME
  5. CSS/JS CUSTOMIZATION

Only if none of that help, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts

Thanks

Hi there,

I managed to update to the latest version of Essential Gird, and adding the API made the stream appear. So hooray. However, there is another issue unfortunately.

I’ve set up a test page here:

https://tomgeorge.hu/teszt/

I added the basic instagram stream skin to these, but upon hover, the layer appears for one second and then disappears completely, making the grid pretty unworkable. Any idea what might be causing this?

Kind Regards,

Balazs Paszli

Hi Balazs,

We found that you are using the older version of the theme and Cornerstone builder, please update it to the latest version. Please find the (article)[https://theme.co/docs/how-to-update] on how to update.
If that does not help, please provide the following site details in a secure note.

– WordPress Site URL & Admin URL

Hi there,

Updated, but it did not solve the issue.
Adding secure note.

Hello @Pbalazs89,

I have created two test pages using your grid and I could not replicate the issue on my installation. There seems to be a conflict between one of your plugins.

Check the secure note for the test pages

Can you please test for a plugin conflict? You need to temporarily deactivate other 3rd party plugins one at a time to figure out which one causes the conflict. Kindly let us know how it goes.

Best Regards.

Hi there,

I tested for a plugin conflict, but unfortunately that is not it either.
Look:

I only left essential grid on. Other than these console warnings there is nothing else that would lead me towards any conclusion. Do you have any ideas? :frowning:

Hi,

The site is now validated.
Any ideas what can cause this glitch?

Hi Balazs,

There might be a few different reasons for your issue, as you have already troubleshot the common issues, I would suggest you to copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access as you did for your live site.

Thanks

Hi @tristup

The site will be available here in a couple of minutes:

Hello @Pbalazs89,

I checked your given staging site URL seems that you install bank WordPress installation at your staging server. Please install a clone of your live website on your staging server and send us credentials of your staging site as mention by @tristup

Please have a screenshot given below

Thanks

I’m sorry, I had to leave the house before finishing the migration process.

Now I finished it, would you please have a look at it again?

Thanks!

Hey @Pbalazs89,

The given credentials do not work in your staging site. You may have set up a different username and password.
Kindly double-check it.

Thanks
