Display issues with Church theme demo import

Hi,
After import, three issues:

Top bar - font is incorrect
Top bar - social media icons not aligned
Menu - sub menu not showing

I tried theme options and plugin toggle - no joy.

Can you help please?

Best Regards.

Thanks, doing that now.

Hey @AMAC,

I have replicated the broken import of the Church demo so I’ve reported this case to our development team. For now, add the following code in your Global CSS.

.x-social-global i:before {
    margin-left: .3em;
}

About the font, go to Cornerstone > Globals and set a Body font.

Hi @christian,

The fixes worked, thanks.

Hi @christian ,

Also, the mobile versions has issues too …alignment…can you help please?

Hello @AMAC,

The columns have been fixed. It just needs to have the Flexbox enabled.

Best Regards.

Hey @AMAC,

I’d like to add here that our development team has fixed the import issue. In case you disover more issues, you can try deleting the imported pages and posts then import the Church demo again.

Hi @christian,

Thanks, I did that but it never imported all the pages (only 3 pages) and map doesnt display plus menu is wrong. Can you help please?

Thanks.

Hey @AMAC,

1.) You will need to log in to your Google Maps account and generate a MAP ID that you can use for the Map element on the page to display the Map properly:

2.) The menu items are the same. If you are referring to the menu URL, go to Settings > Permalinks and select the structure other than “Plain”.

Best Regards.

Hi @ruenel,

Thanks, I was referring to the Ministries submenu being absent - I need to add the submenu items manually.

Also, prior to deleting and reimporting pages, I had more than the three in the attached image?

Appreciate the main menu has category and post archives links but what changed?

Thanks.

Hello @AMAC,

The Ministries and Kidszone page was deleted. The page menu items were deleted as well. If you want to create a submenu or modify the navigation menu items, you can simply go to Appearance > Menus and edit the primary menu.

Dragging and dropping the menu items will allow you to create submenus or rearrange the order of the menu items.

Hope this helps.

Thanks @ruenel ,

How do I restore the Ministries and Kidszone pages? The Church theme import doesn’t reimport them…

On the menus, I know how to do this but I was flagging it the Church import doesn’t do this and it’s a manual step.

Hey @AMAC,

Apologies for the previous advice. When importing a demo, it is best that you reset your site or start from scratch. There are plugins that can easily do this like the WP Reset plugin.

After resetting your site, just validate your site again and install the Church demo.

Hey @christian,

Thanks, that worked well with that plugin but now my MEC events aren’t picked up by search (MEC or nav) and on previewing events directly in MEC, they appear to use a blog template rather than the MEC standard?

I know the Portfolio slug in themes defaults to the same as MEC but I have changed in both MEC and Cornerstone - they are different. I am using Postname for the WP Permalink structure.

This worked previously…can you help please?

Hey @AMAC,

I believe the MEC issue is not related to the Church demo. Please open a separate thread and provide the updated login credentials. I tried the credentials here and they don’t work.

Thanks.

Hey @christian,

Done, many thanks.

You are most welcome, @AMAC.
