Away for awhile

A client that has the X theme(using Ethos) from back when WP Bakery was the editor for X and asked for some changes. When updating the theme we see that Cornerstone is now the main editor now. That is fine but we seem to be lost to where to edit the header and footer and Cornerstone does not seem connected to the dynamic content such as the header and footer or post displays and galleries that were built before this change.

So question 1
Is there a way to get Cornerstone to work properly from an older site design?

Question 2
We upgraded our license to “Pro” but are unsure if that is “X Pro” or the actual “Pro”
So what did we do and will that help us with question #1?

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Michael

Hello @justrite,

Thanks for writing in!

Please be advised that only pages created with Cornerstone can be edited with Cornerstone. You cannot edit pages created outside of Cornerstone. If you were using the WPBakery Page Builder before, you can still use that plugin to edit those pages.

When using the X theme, you can not edit the header or footer. You will be limited to the default stack header or footer design. You can tweak the settings in Cornerstone > Theme Options > Headers or Cornerstone > Theme Options > Footers

To know more about the difference with the X and the Pro theme, please check this out:

Best Regards.
