Hi,
I have put Yoast breadcrumbs on my site but I cannot find a way to make the breadcrumbs simply show the page it just came from. Instead when I go on a page and click on a portfolio item the breadcrumbs show the way back to an archive - and does not show the title of the previous page, instead it shows a link to ‘Portfolio’, which is not a page I have created.
Please can you tell me how to make the breadcrumbs show the previous page and not an archive page.

Please create a portfolio page and then assign each portfolio item to a Portfolio Parent page.

thanks. It’s not working for me because I am using Essential Grid and The Grid to create my portfolio pages, so I have more control over how they work. Consequently if I try and do what you suggest the parents are not available.

You are using Yoast Breadcrumb. You have modified the theme’s breadcrumb and have custom portfolio pages. It is best that you contact the creators of the Yoast Breadcrumb plugin for further assistance since YB is a 3rd party plugin. They should be able to give you a way to adjust the breadcrumb to point to the pages you have in mind.
