Hi,
I have a classic headline translated using the WPML advanced Translation editor content that does not show up while showing up just fine the Corner stone. Do you have any clue on where should I look to fix it? !
Hi @shimoda,
Thank you for reaching out to us. This is mostly caused by the Translation Manager of the WPML. The best way to make sure the translation will work is to have separate pages and do not use the Translation Manager.
So for the new pages that you create, just go to the page using Cornerstone and save the layout. Then click the Flag icon of the other language at the bottom right section of the screen and choose to copy the current layout. That will cause the page to be copied for the translation, and you will have the Cornerstone at hand to go to each element and add the new language text instead of the current one.
The method above will ensure you will not get the inconsistencies you described. If the issue persists then please get back to us with the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.
Thanks!
Hi Nabeel.
Thanks for you reply Nabeel. It looks like you propose to work around WPML instead of using it. Is this the way Theme X intends to support WPML?
Hi @shimoda,
Our theme does not support the Translation Manager feature of the WPML plugin. We have a separate integration method which my colleague already described, but you can learn more on how to use WPML and our theme/content builder here.
Thank you for your understanding.
Unfortunately following the proposed procedure the headline still does not display the translated version. I am eager to know the issue here. Would it be too much problem telling me the issue and how to fix it?
Hello @shimoda,
I have logged in and tested the page. I can confirm that the issue exists on the page. I would recommend that you update the X theme and Cornerstone version first. Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:
- X theme
7.2.3 - Cornerstone
4.2.3 - WordPress core
5.3.2
This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).
After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
Please let us know how it goes.
Updates have been done. The problem has not resolved.
Hello @shimoda,
I went ahead and have edited your English page. I have changed the classic custom headline element with the new headline element. I also change the page template to Layout - Fullwidth to make sure that I can easily see my changes. When I view the live site, I am still seeing the same. It is as if nothing was changed on the page. I will forward this developers for further investigation.
Please bear with us.
