Question about The Grid extension removed from X theme

I don’t understand why The Grid extension was removed. I read in the documentation that it is no longer active but it is still for sale on Codecanyon and is supported by the author. For confirmation, I also asked the author of the plugin but I’m waiting for his response. Question for Themeco: where did you get the confirmation that the plugin is no longer active?
