You say “You can still keep the license of your main domain and also validate your local server, you just need to add the link of your local server in your themeco account then add a staging.” I have added a staging to my licence, but X still won’t validate on my WAMP server. What should I do?
Hello @wordsmith7,
Thanks for writing to us.
It might be the issue of any plugin conflict, cache issue, or any browser extension that is stopping to validate the site. I would suggest you troubleshoot with our troubleshooting guide.
If you haven’t seen our doc for license validation please look at it.

Hey Michael,
Please change the local domain name or the custom from name from http://skrumorg/
to http://skrumorg.local/
or equivalent because the license cannot be validated with just a directory or invalid domain name.
Kindly let us know how it goes.
Thanks again for response. I have changed the domain name on my personal themeco page, in the “Staging server” box. I have also tried changing it on the actual local server, but Windows 11/Wampserver will not display the site, even though it is accepted by Apache and Wampserver’s own .ini file. I shall have to change it back to something which works. Will skrumorg-local be of any use to you? Or scrumorg:8030? I don’t think anything with a dot will work, unfortunately.
Hey Michael,
The custom domain name should work when validating the X theme as I have already tested it.
- See the video in the secure note below.
Thanks.
Thank you, friends! Since this is a public forum, I should record, for the sake of anyone else using X and Wampserver who hits my problem:
-
you can use an example TLD when naming a new private domain, ideally picking one of the “private-use TLDs” identified by ICANN (such as .home);
-
on your personal themeco dashboard page, you can enter your full private domain name in the ‘Staging server’ field, and they will (after a short interval) enable you to verify your X installation.
Hi Michael,
Glad for sharing the information.
Thanks
