UpdraftPlus working on getting my Cornerstone website back up

Hello,

Thank you for your patience regarding this. Before restoring your site on your domain I decided to test it on our clone, which has significantly more resources to deal with any issues which may arise. The reason for your failed attempts at restoration appear to be the theme. I have attached the error log and an edited version to show the fatal errors. When the theme is active it crashes the site due to memory exhaustion.

I performed some research on this and there is a similar issue here Cornerstone throwing errors and is unusable

Changing the PHP version to 8 as mentioned in the topic above does not solve the issue…

The aforementioned error logs can be found here:

Hello @jakecano,

Thanks for writing to us.

I tried to access the file using the FTP but the given FTP is not working on my end. Please recheck and send us again.

Thanks

Sorry about that. I added a new secure note with credentials.

Hello. Do we have any updates on this? @prakash_s

Hello @jakecano,

It looks like there is an issue related to the server since I tried to enable the debugger mode but the site URL is not working. I would suggest you please contact your hosting provider to get rid of it.

Hope it helps
Thanks

Hello!
The reason the site was showing a 404 on the front end was because the theme was set to pro but was disabled (as it breaks the site entirely) but the site was accessible via wp-admin as is S/FTP. In any case I have set it to the default theme for now. PHP error logging is already enabled, the log can be found in the html folder as shown here https://prnt.sc/LPAY4RKHN9I3

Also, I have just installed Debug Log Manager which is a WP Plugin to enable the WordPress debugger, the log file is here

wp-content/uploads/debug-log-manager/vz4st6jvw3jcupdraftclonecom_20240411194167865796_debug.log

Hello @jakecano,

I was able to access your site admin, I recommend increasing the following server settings to the specified value or larger. Please consult your web host for all these server settings

PHP configuration recommended

memory_limit = 512M
upload_max_filesize = 512M
post_max_size = 512M
max_execution_time = 300
max_input_time = 300

And MySQL Configurations

max_allowed_packet = 16MB
innodb_log_file_size = 128MB

After that, you need to download a fresh copy of the Pro theme from the Themeco account dashboard and reinstall it.

Hope it helps
Thanks

We are trying to download a fresh copy of the pro theme, but we are having issues once we hit Activate.

Does the base Cornerstone theme need to be installed before installing PRO? @prakash_s

Hello Jake,

Simply log in to your Themeco account and go to the licenses page. You should be able to find the download button on that page. You will have to update the Pro theme manually:

Kindly let us know how it goes.

@ruenel
I installed the theme, unfortunately it is still triggering a memory exhaustion error on your site even after the theme developers recommended changes. I have temporarily renamed is to pro-x to allow access to your wp-admin login page

Hey Jake,

Upon checking your website, I found out that Pro was already installed properly. I suspect that you have already figured it out. If not, please let us know.

Thank you.

I successfully installed the previous cornerstone theme, 6.3.2 Right now I am just waiting for my contact at UpDraft to install the backup. I. will reach out if we have any more issues. Thank you.

UpdraftPlus has restored all from the Apr 01 backups aside from the themes component (as you have a new theme). However when clicking the theme options shown [here] — (https://prnt.sc/MCvlvG8G8jop) it returns an internal server error. Can you provide further advice on how to fix this issue?

Also, I have no idea what theme I chose. I belive there were 3 or 4 main ones when I was making mine. Here’s some screencaps if anyone recognizes it: https://web.archive.org/web/20220119003348/http://jakecano.com/

thank you for your help!

Hello!
Everything has been restored from the Apr 01 backups aside from the themes component (as you have a new theme). However when clicking on all theme options shown here, all four options, (https://prnt.sc/MCvlvG8G8jop) it returns an internal server error. We are asking Themeco for support and further advice on how to fix this issue.

this is still happening. Especially when we even go to add a new page… it gives this error:
https://prnt.sc/NQLdsxQPD4Du

Come on guys, I think we are making some headway and I know we are all ready to close this ticket! :sunny:

Please respond at your earliest convenience.
@ruenel @marc_a

Hello Jake,

I tried restoring it but encountered an error. Can you please check again with Updraft and be able to restore with the oldest backup so we can start from there?

Thank you.

We have been trying to make this happen for 16 DAYS. Please Please Please help me as this is my professional portfolio and I need it back so I can find employment. :sob:
@ruenel
It’s just that once we install the latest version of Pro, it fails. The version 6.3.2 installs (kinda) without error, because we have this problem: https://prnt.sc/MCvlvG8G8jop

Here are my backups in a secure message with The Dropbox containing everything we need. Also please watch the video called “THEMECO WATCH THIS.”

HOWEVER… Updraft and I are not sure how or why restoring to an earlier version of the site will help THEMECO solve the issue for a newly installed theme.
Which version do you want UpDraft to restore to?

At this point I am considering rebuilding from scratch using Elementor, I would kindly ask you all for a refund in this case as the support advice above has not been thoroughly investigated before posting your responses to us.

Hopefully we make this happen, no refunds and no rebuilds and we can all move on.

Thank you!

Hey @JakeCano,

I cannot seem to open the staging site anymore. I cannot log in to the FTP. If I can have access to the staging site, I may find a clue as to what is going on to the site.

I will wait for your reply for the access or to the live site access where 6.3.2 is working. If you would allow, I could copy the live site and test it on a local working environment on my computer so I can investigate the issue thoroughly.

Best Regards.
