same here, cornerstone shortcodes stopped working. Other said they experience the same. Only way to fix it for now is to roll back to the older version.
Hey @ZiltDesign,
It looks like the [SUPER-STORE-FINDER] plugin is a paid one so we could not test that. We are willing to investigate if you copy your site to a staging server and give us the following information in a Secure Note
You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.
Please do the same in your own thread and detail what shortcodes are not working.
Thanks,
any updates?
Hi @ZiltDesign,
We’ve take a closer look at this on your site. There isn’t a way for the shortcode to show in the live preview because the developers don’t register it as a shortcode with add_shortcode
according to WordPress best practices. It’s using a custom technique instead. It does however show on the front end of your site. Here is a test: https://coastbeer.be/coastbeer-debug/test/
Regretfully we can’t support it showing in the preview, but it might be possible if the developers use add_shortcode
instead.
HI,
Thank you for looking in to this.
I know the shortcode does not show in the live preview in cornerstone. That is no problem, the problem it that the shorcode/plugin stopped showing on the live site after the update.
In the staging u made 2 testpages. 1 using gutenburg editor, another using cornerstone editor.
With the Gutenburg editor the plugin is visible on the frontend, in cornerstone it is not…
I updated the latest update but still nothing.
if there is no fix, i’ll use a backup from before the update… this site needs to go back online asap.
Hi @ZiltDesign,
It seems that you are using the X theme version 8.0.1, can you please download the latest version i.e 8.0.7, and update your theme and check if the issue still exists or not.
I would suggest you follow the below steps while updating to the latest version of the theme.
Please let us know if that resolved the issue.
Thanks
everything is updated to the latest version. Nothing.
nevermind, i’ll use a backup.
Thank you for your understanding!
I don’t understand but will let it rest. I’m not updating to the new version again and continue to use a previous version. Angry clients during the christmas holiday is not what I want.
I’m sorry things still aren’t working quite right. Meanwhile, you might want to reach out to the developers of that plugin and ask if they can use add_shortcode
as that is the WordPress best practice instead of scanning the post content like they are doing.
