Shortcode doesn't work in Cornerstone

Hi, when I insert the shortcode [SUPER-STORE-FINDER] into a raw content or text element it doesn’t work, I only get the shortcode displayed in the square bracket.When I insert the shortcode in the Gutenberg editor it works fine. What can this be?

There isn’t a way for the shortcode to show in the live preview because the developers don’t register it as a shortcode with add_shortcode according to WordPress best practices. It’s using a custom technique instead. It does however show on the front end of your site. I’m sorry things still aren’t working quite right. Meanwhile, you might want to reach out to the developers of that plugin and ask if they can use add_shortcode as that is the WordPress best practice instead of scanning the post content like they are doing.

Hello, here is the answer from the plugin developer. This does not really help me now. I’m just wondering that it works with other pagebuilders and not with Cornerstone. I could now try another plugin or use WP Bakery, which is included with the X theme. I don’t really want to use the Gutenberg editor. Actually I want to stay with Cornerstone.

However, as there are no way to download the latest version of Cornerstone, I’m afraid we no longer support this page builder.

The plugin works with other page builders i.e Elementor, Visual Composer, WP Bakery and others, reference as below

For short term solution, we had a solution coming from Theme Provider Uncode that provide their code modification to show the shortcode in combination of Visual Composer and their WP Theme as per article here http://superstorefinder.net/support/knowledgebase/shortcode-not-showing-on-uncode-theme/ . However you may need to consult your theme provider as unfortunately, we’re not familiar with the WP Theme coding.

Another short term solution, might be to install VC / Elementor or VC as there are multiple ways to edit a page/post content.

Hello Tristup,

could the last link in my previous message (the one with the Uncode theme) be a solution? Cornerstone is no longer promoted as a single product on the Themeco website, where can the developer get the latest version of Cornerstone? Is it only in conjunction with the X theme anymore? Somehow there has to be a solution, I don’t want to give up on this right away.

Hi Peter,

The Cornerstone still available in the Envato marketplace as a single product. And the valid older version of the Cornerstone can be updated through the Automatic update, if that said plugin has already tested with the valid version they can easily update it to the latest one.
