Hello, I recently took a site I am working on off of maintenance mode so you can see what I am looking for. I want to add a search bar above the menu in the navbar. Can yall help with that? The only search bar option is a little icon that takes over the screen. We could use something more robust and obvious.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Since you’re using X, the only searching option available in X is the Navbar Search which can be enabled via X > Theme Options > Header > Search:
If you need a better or robust solution then I’d recommend you to upgrade to Pro (see https://theme.co/docs/the-difference-between-x-pro) which gives you different searching elements and can be placed anywhere in the header as Pro offers Header and Footer builders.

Was hoping that would not be your answer. There is no CSS to throw one up there?

Unfortunately, it is not possible with just custom CSS. Current structure will not allow it. Possible with customization by adding it direct on the templates but it is outside the scope of our support. Please check this documentation as a starting guide..
