I had written in January about transferring licenses to individual clients.

Transfer Pro License

Hello, I need to transfer several Single Licenses to their website owners. Can you give me the steps to do this? The accounts are under Legacy Support. Will the new owner need to purchase support in order to setup their account? Thank you.

I’m starting to go through that process.

The first account I’m trying to transfer is one of several unlimited licenses. I just purchased a single license for that domain so that I can transfer it to the client.

The license code is c0e5eb48-8683-4967-bad1-c68c5aaea798.

I sent the client this link: https://theme.co/register. When he tried to register the license, entering the above code, he got an error that the license was already in use.

Can you give me the steps to transfer this?

Hi Marian,

Great to hear from you again! So licenses that are tied to a subscription can’t be transferred nor can unlimited use licenses as you already know. The cleanest option would be to have you or the client purchase it directly. This will also allow them to setup their account and add their payment info at the same time. Send us a quick email via our contact form or reply back here once the new license is purchased by you or the client directly in their new account, and we can take care of cancelling this one.

I don’t want the client to have to pay for the license. That is why I purchased the individual license, so it could be transferred. Per the previous post, he should be able to setup an account at https://theme.co/register using the license code.

Please advise.
