Pro header not displaying as per assigned (Again!)

hello,
I wrote back in Feb with this issue, which I managed to find a work around, but now the work around is not working.

Every time I get one header assigned, another no longer works. I have a different header for over 60 courses we sell, so this is getting very frustrating.

Can you tell me if the bug in the header assignment has been fixed, and how I can fix all my headers?

Many thanks

Hi Sophie,

As my colleague says in your previous post, there is an ongoing issue with the header/footer assignments that gets triggered when a header/footer is duplicated or renamed. The issue has been already notified to our development team for further investigation.

Thanks

Hello, thanks for replying. But for some pages, it is also happening with a brand new header, that has not been copied or renamed…

It seems to have something to do with how many headers I have. If i delete one, then another starts working as per assigned. And yet I need to have many many headers. The theme is not limited is it?

Can you let me know the approx. timeframe for the issue to be fixed? many thanks

Hey Sophie,

Thank you for providing that detail that it’s related to the number of headers. There is no limit as to how many headers you can have. The limit could probably be in your web host’s capability which regretfully we don’t have control of.

I’ll consult with our development team if they have any ideas on what server setting could limit the header assignment number but in the meantime, please contact your web host to increase the following server settings to the max or at least double the amount of the values below.

- Setting Value
- PHP max input variables 4000
- PHP time limit 30
- PHP memory limit 200M
- Max input time 60
- Upload max filesize 300M
- PHP post max size 300M

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Christian - my hosting did what you suggested but Im still having trouble with displaying all my headers…

Any other thoughts/suggestions?

Hey Sophie,

In that case, regretfully, you will need to restructure or rethink your header building. For example, if you’re not aware, if all or many of your header is similar in design and only the content varies depending on the page, you can have just 1 header and then use the Dynamic Content feature to fetch data from the page.

The Conditions option is also another feature that will help in cases where you want to remove or show elements depending on the page type.

Do you have headers that use the same design but only differ in content? Please list them down in your next reply we’ll direct you to the Dynamic Content and Conditions you can use so you can have a multiple use header.

Thanks.

OK thanks for your reply. I have merged several headers into one using conditions, which work together. Ill keep this in mind going forward.

Thanks for your help.

You are most welcome, Sophie.
