Posts Navigation element not picking up data

I am testing the use of the new posts elements at https://dev.reachuk.org/news/ and can’t get the Posts Navigation element to pick up the data coming from the looper. I’m sure this is due to a basic misunderstanding but could you point me in the right direction please?

Thanks, I had already visited all of this material, but have just re-read https://theme.co/docs/pagination. The behaviour I was looking for was (with the page initially loading the first 12 posts) that clicking Next would load the next 12, and so on. Given that this is an archive layout rather than a singular post layout, am I using the wrong element, and if so is there another way to achieve this?

Hello Mike,

The Post Navigation element will only work as expected when you use it in a blog index or archive layout. I have checked your News page and it is just an ordinary page which means that the navigation will work as a Post/Page Navigation instead. Clicking on it will just open to the next published normal page.

Please go to Settings > Reading > Front Page Displays and check which page was assigned as your Posts Page. By the way, please review the Archive layout video, you may have missed or misunderstood a few steps in creating a custom blog layout. Check it again here:

Hi

I understand this, but Cornerstone is a page builder so (as far as I’m aware) I can’t use it on the archive page (I’m using X, not Pro).

Yes the Layout Builder is only available in Pro and not in X. I’d suggest you to upgrade to Pro as the Layout Builder allows you to create this repeatable page template for various aspects of your WordPress environment—think blog posts, individual pages, WooCommerce products, taxonomy archives, and more.
