Is there any way to set the size of a post as you can do with pages. For example i can set a page as full width with no headers or footers and so on but I do not have this option with posts?

The Post layout can be set through the Theme Options > Layout And Design, but as you are expecting to set the Page Template that is not possible. But you can create Single layout using the Layout Builder with the custom structure and assigned to the Sngle Posts, but the Layout Builder is exclusively available with the Pro, not the X which you are using. I would suggest you upgrade to the Pro theme, please go through the process here: https://theme.co/docs/converting-from-x-to-pro
