I feel like an idiot here. I’m trying to add a slider to an X theme site in Cornerstone. Somehow, in X Elements, I don’t get all the premade slider options noted in the documentation. I tried using LayerSlider’s free option instead, but the slider I’ve created isn’t saved and available for me to insert. I’ve ensured themes and plug-ins are current. Any suggestions? Do I need to upgrade? Thanks in advance.

To get the Layer Slider element, you must enable the Classic Elements from Cornerstone > Permission > Elements > All Classic Elements. I would suggest you add the Layer Slider shortcode inside the Text or Raw Content element, instead of using the deprecated Classic Element.

Thanks for this fast reply! I am having a problem when I try to follow your instructions. I am wondering if my Cornerstone is out of date? I have updated my X Theme but my Cornerstone options don’t match the documentation and the instructions you have shared.
When I go into Cornerstone > Permission > Elements > I do NOT see All Classic Elements until the bottom of the list. And when I click on it, I still do not receive the detailed items I see in current Cornerstone documentation. This is what I see:

- Admin-level username and password
