Not recognizing license

Our third party web designer is no longer in business. I paid another person to do updates and he said the theme failed because it was associated with the web designers account.

Today I bought a single site license and entered that license in the website. I received this message, " We’ve checked the code, but it doesn’t appear to be an Cornerstone purchase code or Themeco license. Please double check the code and try again."

I have ZERO website experience. Can someone please help?

Do I need to add Staging, whatever that is?

In order to validate the theme I would suggest you please have a look at this doc to learn more about how to validate the theme with the license code.


If it doesn’t work, I would suggest you troubleshoot with our troubleshooting guide. If none of the above works for you please share your details in a secure note. Please provide the following details

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin-level username and password
