Not able to change Menu Font color after switch Menu source

Hi,

I was able to change the menu font color at Navigation -> Top Links -> Primary Text Format.

After I switched the menu source from Sample to Menu:Main, I am not able to change the font color at the same location anymore.

Please kindly advise.
Thank you!

Hello Ting,

Thanks for writing in!

Your current menu only has 1 item which is the “Home” link. The font color is working. What is displaying is the Interaction color because the page is your homepage which means that the “Home” menu link is the current and active menu item. Please go to Appearance > Menus and add more menu items to your Main menu so that you will see the font color taking effect.

Hope this makes sense.

Many thanks for your reply. Added more elements and showed up correctly now.

However, mobile layout of menu elements are stacked together and not readable. Is there a way to resolve this?

Thank you in advance

Hey Ting,

I’m sorry we can’t answer that without knowing what look you exactly want for phone screens. There are lots of possibilities and options to set.

The easiest way but not optimal is to add another Bar to be used for mobile display. After you built the bar, hide the bar on desktop / laptop view by using the Hide During Breakpoints feature. Similarly, hide the 1st bar on mobile views. You can learn about that feature here https://theme.co/docs/hide-or-show-content-by-device-size

What I’d recommend though is you learn how to use the Flex options available in the elements especially the Bar and Container so you can control the display. You can start learning here https://theme.co/docs/use-flex-layout

Hope that helps.
