Modifying the Slider Element

Hi There

A colleague is working on a post . They are using the Cornerstone slider element. The basic usage is understood however they are seeking additional features for the slider. For example they would like:

  1. To have the images be clickable so a larger version of the image is shown
  2. Ideally showing smaller thumbnails at the bottom

Is the Slider element capable of doing this or is it customization. I’ll share a link to the post via a secure note for reference. We are using Theme X.

Thankst
Tim

Hello Tim,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully the Slider element does not have the feature that you are looking for. Fortunately, you can make something like that with using the Image and Modal element. You can add a Modal element inside the Slide. The Modal toggle will use graphic to display the thumbnail of the image. When someon clicks on it, the Image element inside the modal will display with a bigger resolution. You can even include another Slider inside the Modal as well. I know it sounds completed but all you need is the basics of using the Slider, Image and Modal elements to be able to pull this off. Please check out this documentations:

And check out the tutorials in our Youtube channel as well;

Best Regards.

Thanks @ruenel

You are most welcome, Tim.
