Is the bug still there?
Hello Hannes,
Thanks for updating in!
Please make sure to update to the latest Pro version. You can check the changelog here:
To properly diagnose the menu issue without affecting your live site, I strongly recommend creating a staging environment where we can safely test and troubleshoot. Once the staging site is ready, please share the URL and temporary admin credentials (via secure note), and we’ll investigate the menu behavior immediately.
Best Regards.
I have updated to Pro 6.7.13 now.
I send you credentials to the productive site, because I have no opportunity today to set up a staging site.
Please take a look at it - maybe you find the cause without affecting much.
If this doesn’t work for you let me know.
Thank you!
Hello @salilou,
I tried to access the site dashboard, but the site is not working at the moment. It looks like the server is down. Please let us know when it is accessible.
Thanks
Mh, the server is up and working.
Hello Hannes,
I have checked your homepage. I am seeing the section IDS like “hallo”, “blog”, “ueber-mich”, “kundenstimmen” and “kontakt”. I just do not see the One Page menu.
I created a test page. You can see the URL in the secure note below.
Thanks.
Oh this is not a real one page menu.
The only main page sections in the menu are Hallo and Kontakt.
In the WP Custom CSS I have your code:
.x-bar-footer .x-currently-active span {
color: inherit !important;
opacity: 1 !important;
}
Because of that code it works now, but a real bugfix would be nice.
Best regards ,
Hannes
Hello Hannes,
I am not sure if we are on the same page here. The bug is closed in our issue tracker already. The custom CSS only resets the color of the Link title inistead of using the hover color being assigned in the Navigation Inline > Top Links element settings.
Best Regards.
To ensure we’re both on the same page, I’ve disabled the custom CSS code.
Now you can see the problem on the main page: The “Kontakt” entry in the footer menu is always active.
Even if I move the “Kontakt” section to the top of Cornerstone.
Hello Hannes,
Check out this video in the secure note below. It shows that the “Kontakt” menu item at the footer menu is not always active. The video also shows that the active state of the menu items in the header as you scroll the sections in the page.
Thanks.
Thank you very much. My problem is solved. However, before our conversation, the “CONTACT” entry in the footer menu was always active, even when I moved the section to the top. Now it works. Did you change something?
The Cornerstone setting “Current” is set to OFF. Shouldn’t that deactivate the display of the link as active?
Hello @salilou,
I did not change any element settings in your footer. I only created a test page with a ONE-PAGE menu to replicate the issue. That is also how I found out that the “Kontakt” menu item at the footer menu is not always active.
Best Regards.
Okay, I don’t know why it’s working now, but it is working, that’s the main thing!
Thanks again.
Hannes
