Megamenu vs wpFlyMenu

Hi Team Themeco

I spent a few hours working on a megamenu system to replace the off canvas wpFlyMenu that we are currently using, thinking that the javascript was adding to our Google Page Speed latency.

But after loading and testing, I found that the megamenu was rendered first - causing more first paint latency.

I thought this being in CSS and HTML would be faster. Am I missing a performance concept with the megamenu that would allow us to lose the big bloaty wpFlyMenu plugin?

We first need to know what Mega Menu you’re referring to. Are you referring to the old Mega Menu mentioned here https://theme.co/docs/setup-mega-menus? Or, are you referring to the new Mega Menu mentioned here https://theme.co/docs/mega-menu

Please also provide the URL where we could see the mega menu and we’ll try to replicate the setup and the issue in our test site.
