Mega menu layout

Hi, I’m working on converting a current menu to a mega menu with the new mega menu builder, I watched the new video and it showed how to use the toggle, great I get all of that but I was wondering on how to setup the new menus for the layout. I have attached a screen shot of the current menu that I would like to update.

So here are my questions that I need some advice on.

How would be the best way to layout the menu with the new mega menu options? I have attached a screen shot of what I would like to achieve, I want the dropdowns to be mega menus. The best idea I thought up was to use a div and then build links with some buttons, this has some issues (aside form being labor intensive) how would you recommend keeping my “active” color for the page I’m on being the big question I have.

I’m open to suggestions, I know this part of the tool is brand new, and I thought the video on youtube did a great job on going over the features, but I think it would have been more useful to walk us through building a general mega menu with links mixed in.

Hi Charles,

Thanks for reaching out.
You can easily achieve what you are trying by using the Header & Footer builder of Pro, which you are using. Please follow the below steps.

Step 1: Add a Bar to the Header
Step 2: Add 3 Containers into the Bar and set the Width of the Containers to 20%,60% and 20%. [ You may need to adjust this as per your requirements.]
Step 3: Add the Logo to the First Container
Step 4: Add Inline Navigation to the 2nd Container and set the Align Horizontal to End.
Step 5: Add the Request A Demo button to the 3rd Container.
Step 6: Assign the Header to Entire Site

I have tried the same in my local environment, please find the structure described in the screenshot.

Hi, thanks for the response but you didn’t actually answer my question. I’ve actually already done all of that, the image I sent you is the current header that I built in the header manager on pro, and I did basically what you just described.

What I want to do is convert the drop downs on the menu to a mega menu using the new mega menu options in the theme, which I haven’t done before. The dropdowns for this particular website are rather large. Please see my original post on what I am trying to accomplish.
