How to assign posts page without overriding the page I have built for blog

Hi,

I built a page to display all posts, and I wanted to use breadcrumbs on the post page to bring users back to the blog page I created. I realize that the breadcrumbs < blog takes you back to the homepage because I have not assigned the posts page to my custom blog page.

When I assign the post page to blog I lose the custom page I built with Pro and it displays the standard WordPress posts displaying.

In conclusion I want to assign the posts page to blog without losing my custom page and this will allow breadcrumbs to work correctly on my individual posts pages.

I hope this makes sense. I am working on staging and haven’t pushed these changes live yet.

the custom page id for my blog page is: 7393

How can I fix this?

Hello Philip,

Thanks for writing to us.

In case you want to create a custom blog layout since you are a Pro theme user, I would suggest you create any page and assign the page as a post page from the WordPress —>Settings -->Reading —>set the Post page from the dropdown

Now you need to create a custom archive layout from the Layout builder. Please have a look at our doc to learn more about how to create a custom blog layout.

You may check out the video tutorial as well.

After creating a custom blog layout you need to assign this layout to the blog page, you need to go to your layout —>Click on the Settings icon —>Assignment —>Set the condition as given below in the screenshot below.

In case you have not seen our condition and assignment doc please have a look at it to learn more about how to assign the layouts.

Hope it helps
Thanks
