Home page Revolution slide and the style sheet is broken since I update the theme. Need urgent help

Hi Team,

Since I have updated the theme yesterday the revolution slider and the style sheet are broken. Looking for urgent support.

NOTE: I have deleted the Cornerstone and install it as per the guide line. And also checked activating the main xtheme not child theme. And removing css/js from the theme option but the issue is still there.

Hi Padam,

Thank you for writing in, did you reset your site? When I try to access your login page URL begins on your secure note. It gives me the WordPress install page. Can you confirm what is happening?

In the meantime, please do the following:

  • Ensure that you are fully up to date. WordPress, Theme, and Cornerstone (Version Compatibility)

  • Clear all the site caches (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. While you’re at it, please deactivate this caching feature while we tackle this issue.

  • Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Thanks,

Hi,

I have now uploaded the older version to make the site work. I have update the theme according the below instruction the site is broken only work with 8.1.5 version.

  1. Delete the Cornerstone existing one
  2. After deletion please use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone .

Please clear all type cache including the Style Cache from Cornerstone > Settings > System > Clear Style Cache and check in the incognito/private mode of the browser.

Hey Padam,

Your case is some custom code in your injection plugin is conflicting with the latest version. As my colleague mentioned in the other thread, we cannot provide support for custom codes. It would be your responsibility to fix the custom code or make it compatible with the latest version of X and Cornerstone.

I’d just recommend that you set up a staging copy of your live site and do update X and Cornerstone in staging so you can see and fix the conflict in the custom code.

If the custom code problem is just CSS, maybe try moving the custom CSS codes in Theme Options > CSS.

Just note that we still could not guarantee that moving the CSS code would fix the issue.

If you want us to investigate custom code conflicts, you might want to consider signing up to our One or Elite service. In One, we answer questions beyond our products and in Elite, we do the customization for you.

Thanks.
