Headers Not Assigned Pro 4.0.10

Global header is over riding specific page headers, The global header is set to “entire site” and secondary headers are set to “page specific”.

I’ve deleted, re-created, and re-assigned headers but it’s still the same. The only way I’m currently making it work is to assign global header to all post type and then assign it to individual pages. Then specific page headers work as well.

Thank you for any help.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for reaching out.

Please check this article about Conditions and Assignments, it will help you fix your issue with the headers not assigned properly.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Thank you again.

I do understand all this. I truly believe my settings are correct.

I need to edit what I said previously in this post.

I re-set and re-applied everything and it worked correctly for a few moments - but only when I was logged out of wordpress. However, it stopped working again altogether. My global header is over riding my page specific headers.

I suspected my caching possibly. However, I’ve deactivated it several times. I did once again and it has no affect.

Also, I may not be in the right place and I’m just in error and don’t understand. In regards to the article you recommended, the header builder panel that I’m looking at doesn’t have the two header and footer toggles as shown in the screen shot.

I left a secure note with my login if you would like to see what’s happening. If so, please advise me on what I may have set wrong. If not, I’ll report back if I can’t figure it out.

Thank you again.

Hi @hpcadmin Steve, the header assignment does not work for me either. I think you are not the issue here…

Andreas

Andreas,

I’m sorry to hear that it’s happening to you as well. However, it is good to know it’s not isolated to me and my set up. I’ve been trolling the forum and see several similar issues just phrased differently. Hopefully. it gets on the radar.

I’ve been using Pro for almost 4 years, have built 2 sites with it, and have never had an issue or conflict. I don’t build fancy sites but I do know my way around this software. I just can’t see that I don’t understand this or am missing something.

Thank you for the re-assurance. Let’s hope to see it resolved.

Hi @hpcadmin

Thanks for your words, currently it is super-difficult to work with pro because I experience several issues. If you are interested, that’s how the header assignment problem looks like on my part:

Andreas

Thank you.

I had seen your other post and thought a forum member helped resolve it. Mine has nothing to do with incorrect logic. I’ve tried every “and” “or” combination, deactivated every plugin, and every suggestion I can find on here… It’s not that. I have an issue.

I can see that support is really busy. And it does appear that some of the folks with this issue simply have the settings wrong. I guess I understand that support feels I have the same issue. I’ve simply been told to look at the document 3 times. And no one has told me - we looked - your settings are wrong or your settings are right.

I can set things incorrectly to make most of the site work. (I really do understand the logic and settings if I can do that) I really don’t like doing things that way. Hopefully, there will be an update soon that will somehow address this.

I hope things work out for you. I’ll just have to wait and see.

You are most welcome Steve.
Our developers are already looking into the issue.

Please bear with us.

Thank you for all your help.

This is resolved. The priority on secondary page specific headers has to be set at 10 and global header at 0. At least that’s how it is on my site. I had tried several configurations with priority like 0-1, 0-2, and so on but didn’t go up to 10. As well, I don’t recall having to do this on the last version of Pro. Regardless, everything appears to be fine now.

Thank you again. I appreciate all the help.
