Header adjustments

Having updated Theme X Pro the bilingual claim partly disappeared in the header of braschos.de and swedesail.de

To get the steps right

  1. I deactivate polylang before adjusturing the header

  2. I adjustment Bar 1 and 2 (German//English)

  3. I have to assign Bar 1 and 2 prior to activating Polylang or afterwards?

Hi @Erdmann2014,

Thanks for reaching out.
Please follow the below steps while modifying the Header and using the Polylang.

  1. Deactivate PolyLang
  2. Delete the Header Assignment and modify the update
  3. Add the Header assignment back and save
  4. Activate the Polylang

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hello,

thx. It is unclear how to delete the old header assignment.

Hey Zebra,

To unassign the header assignment, you may check this article.

Hope that helps.

Thx. Needles to say I already read this. It does not explain how to delete a given assignment.

Hello Zebra,

In order to remove the assigned condition I would suggest you go to your Header/Footer—>Settings —>Assignment—>Conditions–>You need to hover over any condition and click on the delete button to remove the condition which is set.

Thanks

Hell. Thx for your remarks. I tried repeatedly. There seems to be kind of logic confusion. Your documentation does not exlain this explicitly or I dion’t get it.

It is unclear where from the header gets the assignment for german or englisch. There are three Containers. 1 for Swedesail, 2nd for the claim, 3rd for the nav bar. The language selection for the navbar is working, for the claim not as is was until the update of Pro.

Until now I spent a lot of time and effort to get it going as it was. Perhaps it is better if you do the adjustment an document the steps for the future and my other websites.

Hi @Erdmann2014,

The latest update has changed the structure of the Page Builder, Theme Options, and other available resources of Theme, and we are still updating the documentation on the updates.

NOTE: As I can remember that the Header has been assigned based on the language, can you please share the login credential once again so I can tell you specifically what was done?

Thanks

Thank you Tristup,

secure note being sent.

Hi @Erdmann2014,

I have checked the Header and as I can remember that there was a single Header with multiple Bar which are set with the Condition shown in the given screenshot.

NOTE: I have checked your other site which we build, and it is working fine. You can check and replicate from that too.

Website: https://braschos.de

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Thank you. The german claim of Swedesail does not change from “Die Welt der schönen Yachten” to the english version “The World of beautiful yachts”. Currently, the Braschos website does not show the second line “Texter - Autor - Journalist” nor the English variant.

Hi @Erdmann2014,

You need to add two different Bars for different languages and that sub-headline after that assigns the condition as shown in the previous screenshot.

Thanks

Tristup, thx. I tried, does not wrk. I am afraid I can no longer go on like this.

I am running 3 Wesites: https://swedesail.de, https://braschos.de and https://sortec-online.de/

The header of all these websites is supposed to consist of:

  1. The Name Swedesail, Erdmann Braschos, Sortec Sortiertechnik

  2. a bilingual claim linked to the language selection German/English via Polylang

Swedesail German: Die Welt der schönen Yachten

Swedesail English: The world of beautiful yachts

It all worked until the update of Pro in December and I think the current issue is not my fault. Please get it working again.

Hi @Erdmann2014,

I think you are already aware that the points you mentioned are part of customization and beyond the scope of Theme Support. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you to do the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where we answer the questions beyond normal theme support.

Thanks
