Hi there, after we updated our website, pacesuccess.net, the embedded videos are not showing up for the users. I can still see them when I am logged in, but when I am not, they disappear (ex: https://pacesuccess.net/curriculum/physical-science/1114-covalent-molecules/). Not sure how to fix this?
Hi @bendhall,
Thanks for reaching out.
There might be a few different reasons behind the issue you are having. I would suggest you troubleshot a few common issues to find the reason behind it.
1.Plugin Conflict
2.Child Theme Related issue
3.CSS/JS Customization
4.Disabling Cache
If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:
– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

Please note that a few hours ago we have released another version of the theme with some fixes, I would recommend you to update your theme to the latest one.
I would also suggest you follow the below steps while updating to the latest version of the theme.
- Delete the Cornerstone
- Update the X theme to the latest version on automatic updates
- After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be at the latest version
Thanks
I checked those four things without any success. I will send my login info. Thanks!
Hello @bendhall,
I have logged in and investigated the issue. I can confirm that the Classic Embed Video element does not display anything even when using the latest version. This could be a bug in the latest release and I have reported this already in our issue tracker list.
In the meantime, I have replaced the classic element with the new Video element. Kindly check your page now.
Best Regards.
I have this exact problem in a clients’ site: i rolled back to a stability release, will this be fixed in the next update, and if so which version?
Hello Stephan,
Our developers are already aware of this issue and a patch update is underway.
Please bear with us.
Thanks.
I’m having the same issue with the legacy embed option for videos on some, but not all, pages on my site. Hoping to have the patch release here quickly to avoid having to search every page for every video that is missing.
Hello @nakana_mehr,
Thanks for writing to us.
The issue has been already reported and it has been added to our issue tracker so this issue will be queued for fixing by our development team.
Please stay tuned for the succeeding theme versions as the fix will be included in one of them.
Please bear with us.
Thanks.
I am having the same problem. One of sites my generates all of it’s business from embedded video. Is there a timeline you can share of when this will be fixed?
Hey @joshcarrs,
Regretfully, we could not provide a timeline. Please revert your site from a working backup. You can ask your web host if you’re not familiar with this.
Thanks.
I found a fix for the video embed problem. You’ll need to use the new “video” element in the latest update of Pro. Then, you can embed the video using the page builder and it will render in Chrome and Safari (no other browsers tested). The small problem of the video container color can be solved by adding the following to your global CSS:
.x-frame-inner {
background-color: rgb(#,#,#);
}
I don’t see a fix in the release notes of Pro 4.0.11 - January 6, 2021 is it still on the issue tracker?
Hey @Stefan_van_Perlo,
The issue is still under investigation. Our development team is currently working on it.
Please bear with us.
