Drop down menu full vertical height + image background possible

FOR DESKTOP: I would like to create a dropdown menu that has 2 levels of submenus. I am wanting the menu to fill the vertical space of the screen, and have the submenus look like a column that spans the full vertical height as well. Also, is it possible to use an image be used as a background for a dropdown menu?
