Customizing a website footer

I’m working on a website with a child version of the X Theme. My client is interested in a new footer design. I have a good bit of website development and CMS knowledge, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to customize the footer. Under cornerstone > options > footers > widget areas, there is an option to add between 0 and 4 widget areas. I thought that might help, but not only does it not seem to do anything, I can’t seem to find any documentation that describes how it should be used. There also don’t seem to be any footer editing options under appearance > customize, nor under any other cornerstone settings that I could find.

Under cornerstone > options > footers > content area, I am able to edit some mostly hard coded HTML, but I figured that with a full featured builder like Cornerstone, I should be able to offer my client something more user friendly for updating.

I can share the site link login details with support upon request. Just don’t want to blast anything sensitive publicly. Thanks for your help!

Hey @threadinc,

Thanks for reaching out!

There’s no option to edit the footer using Cornerstone if you are using X. If you wish to customize your footer using the Cornerstone builder, I highly suggest that you convert your X to Pro, here’s how:

To know more about the difference between X and Pro, you may check our online documentation:

Hope that helps.
