CS Forms: this element could not render because its definition is missing. you may need to activate a plugin

We recently purchased Forms, but are unable to get it to render in Cornerstone. Each time we add an element, it says:

We have deactivated every other plugin except for Cornerstone during troubleshooting with no luck. Per some other posts on this form I also ensured that all Elements permissions are allowed:

Secure note added.

Hello Tina,

I tried to access your site dashboard, but it seems that you have not installed the Cornerstone Forms at the moment. I would suggest you please install the plugin and share the exact page URL so we can check it on our end.

Thanks

Apologies on delay. When I try to install the plugin, it tells me error encountered and when you click on details, I get this:

Hello Tina,

You are having this issue because you are using an older version of the X theme that does not support CS Forms.

Check this first: https://theme.co/docs/cornerstone-forms-overview#access

We highly recommend that you clone your site to the staging area. In the staging area, update the X theme and Cornerstone plugin to the latest version. Once updated, install the CS Forms. If everything goes smoothly, you can push the updates to the live site. If this is your first time creating a staging area, it is best that you check this guide: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/

Best Regards.

Updated everything. X, Cornerstone, Wordpress. Still no joy.

We do test updates in a staging area first. I can’t quite fully test Cornerstone to its fullest in that due to licensing.

Hello Tina,

I have revoked and revalidated the license. The issue persists. I ended up manually installing the Cornerstone Forms plugin.

You can start creating your first form now. If you need some guidance, check out our tutorials here:
