Creating or editing posts

Hi, I’m sorry to ask this, but I don’t think I understand how the posts things work in the theme.

If I try to edit a post that comes by default (Standard Post With Shortcode Goodies, for exemple), so I can learn how to use some features in X theme, I can only see html code:

I tried to edit in cornerstone, or default editor, but i can’t really figure out how to achieve what I want.

If anyone understand what I mean (my english is bad), can explain me how to achieve it?

Hey There,

For creating pages that have elements and a certain styling you will need to use the Cornerstone page builder as it comes with many different tools to create unique layouts. A great thing to start out is to import a demo which you can read all about here: https://theme.co/docs/design-cloud

Once you’ve imported a demo you can edit that page with Cornerstone and have a base layout which you can alter to your needs. This is great for starting out and learning each and every element.

I actually have a demo already (Renew Agency). I have this post from the demo:

I edit with cornerstone so I can see the post insights, but this keeps showing:

After that, if I click Clone existing one, this shows up:

I don’t understand of that’s normal or I’m doing something wrong…and I aldready have permissions in "X>Preferences>permisions " as administrator and editor.

Did I do something wrong?

Hello Marc,

Please be advised that only pages created in Cornerstone, the X theme’s page builder, can be edited in Cornerstone. If a post was created with the WordPress Editor (Gutenberg), it will just be a blank canvas page if you edit it in Cornerstone.
