I’m trying to create a boxed button like border around my menu item “donate” for my website: girisunyata.org where i can manually adjust the color and hover color. An example of the button can be seen here: https://www.charitywater.org/
I’ve tried looking into existing posts but didn’t understand how to apply their code onto mine. Sorry to bother you with this.

Thanks for reaching out.
Creating a button on the menu in the X theme would require customization. Regretfully, customization is outside the scope of our theme support. You may seek 3rd party developers to help you with your problems or you can avail One where we can answer questions outside of the features of our theme.
On the other hand, I suggest that you upgrade your X to Pro because this features is easily can be done in Pro. Pro has a header builder that is not available in X. You can check on our docs on how to Convert X to Pro.

I see. Before this was still supported hence me asking.
Converting to Pro. I’ve considered it but I’m not experienced in building a website at all and was afraid if I upgrade to Pro I won’t be able to put my website together like I do with cornerstone now. Drag and drop, blocks etc. For someone not technical like myself.
Would you suggest to use Pro or just stay with X and leave the button as it is. I might be able to ask a friend for help.

Yes, I highly recommend that you upgrade your X to Pro. Everything what you can do in X can also be done in Pro and Pro has a lot of features that you can’t do with X. Example you can customize the header and footer layout using the Pro Builder. We also have a new Layout builder that’s only available for Pro. You can check more details about Layout Builder here.

ok i’ll look into that then and see how to convert to pro on the existing website and then go from there. 
Haven’t built much yet so should be easy to transfer.

So I upgraded to Pro. And realised that creating a whole new header is quite complicated for me. I can see how the extensive options are amazing for developers but I’m actually not experienced at all and can’t get it too look good.
The good new is, I’m happy with the standard menu header that appeared after creating a menu and linking the pages to it. Now just remains the challenge on how to create a button like border around the menu item “Donate” (which is menu item 39).
Been searching through many older posts in the forum and tried other peoples CSS codes with my menu item but it doesn’t align well.
Is there an option to just add the button or border in Pro without going through the process of creating a whole new header?
Sorry to bother you with this. Couple years ago I asked the same and received custom CSS for my previous site, just I lost / can’t find the messages anymore in the forum.

Regretfully, we could not continously provide custom CSS to all users. The custom codes we provide here serve only as a guide to help users get started custom coding.
That said, it would be more technical for you if you insert custom codes to your site unless you’ll hire a developer.
Also, you don’t have to create a header from scratch. You just choose and import a header design from our Design Cloud.
We understand that it might be challenging to use the Header Builder for beginners but once you get past the learning stage, you can achieve more for your header.
