Cornerstone Issues After Update to 8.0.4

Hey Guys,

I’m experiencing the exact same issue that another user posted previously:

Background image and Image not working 12-15-2020 update

I updated to the latest x-theme 12-15-2020. The classic image and classic background no-longer works. Links to the image on the classic image no-longer works. I have several clients that I have use x-theme for years still wants those features. What’s going on? I have been a satisfied user until now. Need help understanding what is going on and to fix.

Background images in Cornerstone seem to have disappeared.

I’ve made sure my version of Cornerstone is up to date by following the instructions in the thread linked to above but it did not fix the issue.

This same issue is present across ALL client websites that were updated.

Hi @scoopsdad,

We’ve corrected this in Cornerstone 5.0.6 which is available on automatic updates (make sure to update X to 8.0.6 as well)

Thanks for the response and information.

I’ve updated X and Cornerstone and am still having issues.

The background image area is now showing up in the Cornerstone sidebar BUT changes you make to the image are not reflected in the preview pane. Saved changes are reflected on the front-end, just not in the preview pane.

Just moments ago, we just released another patch update. Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

• X theme 8.0.7
• Cornerstone 5.0.7

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog:

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Hello @scoopsdad,

Which page you are trying to edit and is experiencing the issue? I have edited the homepage and I could not replicate any issue. Please provide us the URL instead. By the way, you have an SSL issue. Kindly fix that as well. Go to Settings > SSL.
