Category and Archive Header Landmark

Hi guys. I recently upgraded from X to pro. In X I used to have a Category Title in my Category Archive pages and also had introduced special code that allowed me to have a Catergory Landmark space that presented each Category.

Now I’m using Pro. After activating my custom headers my Category Titles are gone. This is Now:

Can I have EITHER or BOTH of those elements back: The category Title and the Category Landmark space?

My custom headers are great but I cannot assign one to a category right? so I need the title or the title and the landmark back.

They are called landmark and it’s not supported by Pro header. But, you may able to implement it as a shortcode in your header builder’s text element.

Please add this code to your child theme’s functions.php

Great!
So this uses a shortcode.

where should I imput the content of the shortcode?

I tried this using the text element but nothing happend, but then I am not sure where to put the content for the shortcode.
I already have the Post Category fields filled in, so i figure that is not were the shortcode pulls the information from.

Any time I use a text element on my headers it triggers the error where nothing changes and the header disappears.

Hi There,

The shortcode will still get the information from Archive Title and Archive Subtitle when you edit Categories. Categories are not yet included on the assignment page of the header. It should be added on a text element inside the header that was assign to the category pages which in this case is the global header.

Hi, the landmark headers work but the bar itself becomes dysfunctional. Links do not respond and the header interferes with the drop down appearing OVER it and making them useless. See the examples and check out this site:

When you look at any custom headers the drop down becomes quite ineffective. The first 3 links of the drop down stop working alltogether:

Hello There,

Thanks for updating in! You have a z-index issue. Please edit your header and adjust the z-index of the bars. The bar container the landmark header shortcode should be 9995 or much lower.

Hi again.
Any chance this code can produce the same header on my other Multisite sites?

Right now its only allowing the header to be displayed on my Main site but my spanish mirror, a multisite of the main does not display it.

The code does not take the multisite installation into account, that will be too complicated and needs a great deal of custom development which is outside of our support scope, unfortunately.

You will need to consult with a developer regarding this. Thank you for your understanding.
