Blog Defaulted to Specific Categories

Hello - is it possible to have my main blog page default to only specific categories?

With that said, I would need to have a separate page that shows blog posts as well - but for categories not filtered out. Essentially I am trying to break up categories, with my main blog featuring only certain categories, and assuming it would be a static page showing a blog feed from other categories.

How can this be achieved?

Hello @SE1217707,

Thanks for writing to us.

Regretfully there is no option to display the posts filter by the category on the default blog archive page. In case you are using the Pro theme then you can use the Layout builder to create the custom blog archive page

You need the set the Looper as Query Builder and set the post category from the Taxonomies

testingarchieve-Layout-Builder-Pro (5)

For the other category you can create custom create category layout or create custom page where you can use Post element then set the Taxonomies to filter the posts.

Hope it helps
Thanks

Do I have pro? My account states “Pro Single” but the pro button isn’t on my website.

Hi @SE1217707,

The site you referred to here is using the X theme not the Pro. You can upgrade to the Pro, please go through the process here: https://theme.co/docs/converting-from-x-to-pro

Thanks
