Add Column for WooComm Filtering

Is it possible in X theme yet to add a column on the right side of the woo products (or top) so that I can install a woocomm product filter? I’ve seen a few topics from 2016 saying this isn’t possible in X, but a few that suggested it might be. Clarification on today’s X version would be helpful. Thanks

Yes, it is possible to add a column at the right corner with the help of the sidebar. Please follow all the steps below on how you can achieve it.

• In Appearance > Sidebars, create your own sidebar. For example, I created a test sidebar

• Once you are done creating the test sidebar, please go to the Appearance > Widget and find the test widget then you can add your content there.
• Lastly, please make sure that in the Theme Options >Layout Design > Content Layout is set to Content/Sidebar.

I did this and it worked, however, it created sidebars on pages I didn’t want to have side bars. Is there a way to isolate the content/sidebar selection to just the shop page?

Hi @ppe29,

There’s no option to have the content/sidebar selection to just the shop page. This is possible if you are using the Layout Builder where you can customize the layout of your shop page but unfortunately, that functionality is only available in Pro or you can set the page template of your pages to Blank - No Container | Header, Footer so that you it will not display the sidebars.

Hi Matt,

The changing of the page template to Blank - No Container | Header, Footer is the solution for eliminating the Sidebar on pages, regardless if it’s X or PRO.
