6.0.4 Z-index of Upper background layer

The z-index for the Upper background layer seems to be too high (only on the front-end) On the front-end the upper background layer is laying on top of my main content in the builder itself this is not happening.

Settings for my upper layer are “custom” with a png image set to it

This happens to me as well on sections upper backgrounds. my temporary solution is to make the row(etc) a z-index of 2

I would be great to receive a fix for this though, as it will break many existing sites

I hot fixed this to 6.0.5 which reverts this change. Apologies everyone. I think I’ll be creating a new layer type instead to solve the issue of having a layer over the content.

Just curious, what’s the issue here? All worked fine in 5.1.5 and all previous setups with the existing Background Lower Layer (x-bg-layer-lower-) and Background Layer Upper (x-bg-layer-upper-).

Pro V6 doesn’t appear to have added any new background feature to my knowledge, right?

Would this be another layer? Lower, middle, upper?

i think it is related to this topic:

Thanks @deranaloge! Somehow missed that thread. I’m wondering too what the issue is on the Themeco side of things, like why was the advanced upper / lower layer structure rebuilt at all @charlie?

I don’t fully understand the cover content layer?

It was to trying to solve some of the issues in this thread, but clearly missed the mark. I think I’ll have to go through the thread and figure out what actually changed from pro5 that is causing these z-index issues. Admittedly CSS isn’t my strong point and I’ll probably have to lean more on the team for that.
