5.0.2 Clicking out of text field won't deactivate the focus

I’ve tried to make a video of this as it’s happened twice so far, but I can’t make it repeatable.

  • I double click into a regular text element to change the content.
  • The black border appears, and I make an edit
  • I then click on any other element to take away focus
  • The black outline remains, and the text element is still editable
  • The only way out so far is to reload the page

I have experienced this before but only when I tried to click on another element of the same type… ie clicking on a Headline to get away from editing another Headline. Is that the same for you?

When I clicked onto a different element type, I found it worked correctly

Hi - I couldn’t get the focus to move at all - I saved the page and reloaded. I tried clicking on all the other elements but like an Octopus with a death grip it wouldn’t let go.

On another topic, the toggle for a dropdown Nav doesn’t have an interaction background colour. Unless I’m missing it.

Doh - found it. This new UI takes some clicking.

Thanks! Confirmed. It goes away if you make a change in the element, but won’t close out if nothing changed.

Not fixed in 5.0.4 BTW - still an issue.

I have also had this issue.

The other thing I had, which I haven’t been able to replicate, was that the element ended up saving with a class from the builder and ended up with the class on the front-end.

This meant the element had the styling on it that made it look like I was trying to edit it in the builder.
